Does AnuCal write changes back to Google Calendar?

No. AnuCal brings in Google Calendar events for annual viewing only, all-day and timed alike. They are read for display and are not stored in the AnuCal database.

For editing and timed scheduling, continue using Google Calendar directly. Events you create in AnuCal itself can be edited and deleted there as usual.
